Tuileries
Cultural places / Exhibition venue
This building on Rue de Rivoli was vacant for several years and then illegally occupied by squatters - artists without studios, who turned it into a friendly meeting point. Following two years of renovation work, it has reopened as an official centre for alternative art, and become a veritable Paris institution! Temporary exhibitions and artists' open days are organised at the centre, open free of charge to all visitors.
Charlot
Stores
Two complementary stores run by the same owner, one offering timeless classics and prestigious brands (Isabel Marant, See by Chloé), the other enjoying a more groovy edge (Fifi Chachnil, Corpus Christi). It's up to you to create your own style.
Keller

Stylist David Hermelin's multi-brand store features collections by himself and young designers from Paris and around the world. Much appreciated for his talent-spotting eye and oh-so Parisian style.
Abbesses
Stores
A collective of artists, stylists, video makers, etc., founded by Maroussia Rebecq, "Andrea Crews" transforms second-hand clothes into objects of desire. Each unique garment is designed to be worn like a work of art.

Etienne Marcel

This budget hotel in the heart of the pedestrian Halles-Montorgueil district has 19 rooms. It is very centrally located within walking distance of a huge shopping area, not to mention the Louvre and Notre-Dame cathedral.

This store is a treasure trove of objects, furniture, lighting, dining ware and much more by talented young designers and more established names. Great for home decoration ideas.
