Tuileries
Restaurants / Trendy, inventive cuisine
My 'canteen', only a short distance from home: a fantastic setting in the middle of the Louvre. Ask for Olivier: he's the most stylish restaurant manager in Paris!
Madeleine
Stores
This is where I go for face treatments. You're always given a warm welcome and impeccable service in an atmosphere of utter tranquillity. My favourite place for a beauty fix.
Madeleine
Stores
My favourite place for suits - when I'm not wearing my leather blazer, that is!
Alma - Marceau
Cultural places / Visit
I rediscovered the Crazy Horse thanks to Ali Madhavi and Philippe Découflé's new revue. This is the most avant-garde club in Paris.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Cultural places
An incredible collection of works by the greatest fashion photographers, from Ellen von Unwerth and Martin Parr to Peter Beard.
Tuileries
Stores
A Paris landmark: this bookshop has a vast selection of French and English fiction as well as art books. The sales people are always very helpful and I usually end up buying a book to suit my current state of mind.
Alma - Marceau
Stores
Sarah Marshall's favourite shoe designer. This season's top picks: thigh-high boots to wear around town and 12cm heels for an evening out in Paris.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Stores
I think these are really the most beautiful evening dresses, with cuts and drapes that enhance the shape of any woman's body.
Madeleine
Stores
My first shop, which I opened more than 30 years ago on Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré. There are two levels entirely devoted to luxury leatherwear for men and women. The star of my 2010 collection: five-pocket machine washable stretch jeans, plus black leather leggings and treggings with rock star-style zips for daring dressers.
Denfert-Rochereau
Restaurants / Brasseries and bistros
A café filled with history, where great writers such as Zola, Gauthier, Verlaine and Hemingway were regulars. The literary tradition continues at the Closerie: a women's fiction prize is awarded here each year.
